Zoe Ripecky is a Program Coordinator at the Solar Foundation, where she supports the Solar Ready Vets program and the Solar Jobs Census products. Prior to this role, Zoe was a Fulbright Student Fellow in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her fellowship focused on Ukraine’s energy reform process through direct work with NGOs, grassroots movements, and government institutions. Zoe holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College in International Studies, with concentrations in Economics and Political Science.
Zoe Says: “During my Fulbright year in Ukraine, I was lucky enough to work alongside reformers who were tirelessly pushing for a more transparent, fair, and sustainable Ukrainian energy sector. I also witnessed how frustratingly slow real change can be, and the numerous roadblocks delaying the necessary transformation of the global energy system. As I’ve gained a broader understanding of the world’s energy markets and the threat of climate change, I am convinced that solar and other renewable energies are the future. I hope that the U.S. can lead by example in bringing about sustainable change that reverberates around the globe. This is one of the many reasons that I am honored to work at the Solar Foundation.”
