Craig Connelly joined the Solar Foundation in 2016 as Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships and Innovation. He received his B.A. Political Science from Nazareth College of Rochester and an MPA from The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. Prior to joining the team, Craig served for nearly eight years in different roles within the U.S. Department of Energy, including as a Special Advisor to the SunShot Program Director; an Energy, Innovation, and Environment Legislative Fellow to U.S. Senator Tom Udall of New Mexico; the SunShot Initiative’s CFO/COO; a Program Performance and Measurement Analyst for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy; and a Budget Formulation Analyst for the Wind & Water Power Program.
Craig Says: “Passionate about public service, I chose to join The Solar Foundation and help build innovative and impactful programs which can change the world through solar. Since I was young, I was always interested in the intersection of science and policy. History was my favorite subject in high school, but when I got older I decided that I did not want to study history, I wanted to make it. That’s why I am so excited to come to work every day at The Solar Foundation. We make amazing things happen.”
