David Golembeski is a Program Manager at The Solar Foundation. His primary focus is on the U.S. Department of Energy- backed SolSmart program, which provides communities nationwide with no-cost technical assistance to reduce barriers to solar energy growth and make solar more affordable. Prior to joining, he worked as a research contractor for Smart Electric Power Alliance and Wind Energy Foundation. David holds a B.A. in Political Science and Communication Studies from Towson University. In Fall 2017, he joined Clean Energy Leadership Institute, a professional development organization dedicated to empowering young professionals for careers in clean energy.

David Says: “My path to The Solar Foundation began when my father brought me to a wind farm at around nine years old. From then on, clean energy fascinated me. By college, I discovered a passion for government/politics and often imagined making a living in a profession that merged both worlds. I am delighted to join The Solar Foundation team and work with local governments across the nation to raise awareness of and access to solar energy.”
